3x3 · fastest single

Every posted solve is replayed on the server: the scramble plus your moves must end in a solved cube. Times under two seconds or faster than twenty moves per second are refused.
How ranking works
Each player is ranked by their best single solve on that puzzle. Ties go to whoever set the time first. The all-time board keeps every solve ever posted; the weekly board counts only the last seven days, so it resets itself and gives everyone a fresh shot. Averages (Ao5, Ao12) stay on your own device in the timer for now; an average board is on the list once there are enough players to make one meaningful.
What counts as a solve
- A scramble generated by the app (10 moves on 2x2, 22 on 3x3, 40 on 4x4, 60 on 5x5), solved on the 3D cube with swipes, keys or the keyboard.
- The timer starts on your first turn and stops when every face is one colour; there is nothing to press and nothing to type.
- Undo is allowed; it simply adds to your time and your move list still has to end solved.
- Solves done while logged out stay on your device and are not posted later; log in first if you want them to count.
Fair play
Because the server replays every solve, nobody can post a time for a cube they did not solve. Times themselves are measured in your browser, so a determined cheat could still fake one; obvious impossibilities are refused automatically and anything that looks wrong can be reported on the contact page. Accounts caught posting impossible times are removed.
New to the cube? The beginner method gets you to a first solve in a week, and the tips page is how the top of this board got there.
